Winchester College, founded in 1382, is believed to be the oldest continuously running school in the world. It is steeped in history owning 93 listed buildings and collections of antiquities, all maintained at the college’s expense including Medieval buildings of national importance. This report shows how much money is required to run and support the school and also highlights the successes of those who benefit in association with the school. Within a few days of publication the annual report had raised more money than it had cost to design and print. Contagious are currently designing the 2010 Annual Report.
Increasing Opportunities in a Growing Market was the theme for this year’s report. Due to a slow down in technology Wolfson wanted to show how their proactivity will lead to an increase in their existing market and especially new markets over the next few years. The report is designed in a very information led format with strong graphics emphasising the positive during a negative period in the industry.
Contagious designed a series of reports for the National Trust for Scotland, which won Annual Report of the Year on more than one occasion. The most recent report was featured in the AR100, showcasing the top 100 annual reports from around the world. Judges commented "The pace of the publication stimulates you to turn the page to see what comes next". The key criteria for any Annual Report is to encourage the audience to read it as well as review the accounts.
