Peter Knight | Luxury Brands

Contagious created a new brand identity for interior furnishers Peter Knight, a Royal Warrant holder. A supplier of classic crafted furniture with contemporary influence, who source stock worldwide for affluent furniture and interiors markets. Contagious were asked to modernise the ageing brand while keeping the expression of the tradition and history of the company. The crafted mark and visual identity have been applied across advertising, website, stationery, luxury carrier bags and integrated throughout the new retail environment designed by our retail partners, Four-by-Two in London.

Old Customs House Ledger Glenburgie. Produced by hand on the Isle of Skye this stunning and unique ledger was designed and produced by Contagious for Ballantine’s. Letterpress printed and fully case bound in soft calf skin it contains sheets of labels to individually stamp and apply to
the blend of whisky that visitors create during their visit.

Diageo, along with former chef Richard Whittington, have pioneered the mixing of whisky with a worldwide range of food. The Classic Malts Selection is the world’s largest portfolio of 23 single
malt whiskies each boasting a unique flavour. To promote the pairing of certain malts with regional
foods Contagious designed a series of seven books, each hand finished with embossed vibrant
cover stock, launched at tasting events where Diageo invited food and beverage writers, chefs, restauranteurs and bar proprietors.

Spirits entrepreneur Sukinda Singh asked Contagious to communicate the story of The Black Tot,
last remaining stocks of British Royal Navy Rum. Written by renowned journalist Dave Broom,
this unique tale of liquid history hails back to the 17th Century, and follows the Tot's journey over the waves until Black Tot Day on the 28th of January 1970 when the last Navy rum tubs were consigned to the deep. Based on a leather bound hard wearing Royal Navy notebook, the design
was inspired by a blend of sea tales and historical accounts of this unique rum. The illustrations by
Joe Wilson embellish the story in a surreal and engaging manner which encourages the reader to
delve deeper into the narrative. The book sits within a beautifully constructed wooden box below
the last remaining bottles of this rare grog.
