GHA, the largest social housing landlord in Europe are a not-for-profit organisation who have since 2003 aimed to deliver better homes and neighbourhoods for their now 63,000 tenants and 26,000 factored homeowners. They are a not-for-profit organisation whose tenants have grown more satisfied with them as a landlord but know they have to do more to listen and engage and respond to tenants' needs. The past year has seen enormous improvements to tenants' homes, communities and the city of Glasgow due to an investment programme and the hard work of GHA staff, the report shows where these improvements have been made and also highlights the achievements
of various staff who were nominated for the Recognise Awards. These awards acknowledge outstanding effort and the improvements they have helped generate. The report tells the story behind each nomination exploring the commitment from staff and tenants alike to making a difference to the customers of GHA.

Contagious are designing the official souvenir and visitor guides for Historic Scotland which will
be rolled out over a period of two years. Dunfermline Abbey and Palace, Glasgow Cathedral and Aberdour Castle are the first three of ten that have been printed for 2009. The guides provide information for the tour of the building, an in-depth history and list other nearby Historic Scotland attractions. The cover design captures a unique characteristic of the property and internally there
is extensive use of illustration and photography as commissioned by HIstoric Scotland. The history section provides a timeline with key dates and events that occurred in and around the locale that had an effect on the property or people living there.

The collection at Surgeons’ Hall Museum was one of the first in Scotland to be recognised by the Scottish Government as of national significance. Contagious were commissioned to design an anthology for Surgeons’ Hall, Scotland’s largest medical collection. The content for this fascinating book includes some of the most interesting, unusual and often gruesome material we have ever worked with. Our design team spent a year crafting the publication from concept to completion, carefully enhancing and retouching images, perfecting the typography and bringing together stories and diverse archive materials to create a book that we are extremely proud to have produced.
As Kathleen Jamie's preface states, 'At the heart of this Museum and this book, there is a gift...
given by the multitude who are anonymous: the dead who were disected, or whose skin,
or bones, or tissue were preserved as teaching aids. We learned from them, and still learn:
their tender remains fascinate and move us.'

Contagious Digital are working with Yorkshire Sculpture Park to create an educational website that will embrace 'current creativity and critical thinking' as outlined in the National Curriculum.

Contagious developed Wolfson’s corporate identity to reflect the nature of their business and their positioning as a global player in the semi conductor industry. The identity and supporting brand guidelines are now used by marketing departments across the globe. Contagious also design and produce Wolfson’s annual reports and corporate communication as well as handling their multilingual web site. Increasing Opportunities in a Growing Market was the theme for this year’s report. Due to a slow down in technology Wolfson wanted to show how their proactivity will lead to an increase in their existing market and especially new markets over the next few years. The report is designed in a very information led format with strong graphics emphasising the positive during a negative period in the industry.
